Your baby’s first year shapes a lifetime.
And you shouldn’t have to navigate it alone.
Nurturing mothers.
Supporting babies.
Strengthening communities.
The first year of life is a profound beginning — for babies, mothers, families and communities. Nurturing Beginnings Montessori exists to make this beginning feel more supported, connected and informed.
We believe that when mothers have access to calm guidance, respectful support and meaningful community, babies benefit — and families are strengthened from the very start.
Our work is grounded in authentic Montessori principles, early childhood development, and a deep respect for the mother–baby relationship. As a not-for-profit organisation, we are committed to making high-quality early parenting support more accessible through fully-funded programs and community connection initiatives.
What We Do
-
Our Montessori Parent & Baby Program offers mothers a calm, supportive space to connect with their baby, better understand early development, and build confidence in the first year of life.
-
Alongside our facilitated program, our Mums & Bubs Social Circles help more families build local connection during the first year of life.
Why It Matters
The first year of life is a period of enormous growth — for babies, mothers and families.
During this time, access to calm guidance, social connection and trusted support can strengthen parent confidence, support infant development, reduce isolation and contribute to family wellbeing.
When mothers are supported, babies benefit.
When families feel connected, communities grow stronger.
When support is accessible early, it can have a lasting impact.
Nurturing Beginnings Montessori exists to make this kind of early support more available to families, regardless of their capacity to pay.
Our Approach
Our work is grounded in:
authentic Montessori principles
respect for each baby’s natural development
compassion for the transition into motherhood
community-based support
access, equity and early intervention
care that strengthens both families and local communities
We do not offer rigid classes or one-size-fits-all advice. Our programs are responsive, relational and grounded in what mothers and babies are actually living through week by week.
Fully-Funded Access, Thoughtfully Offered
Our programs are fully funded so families can participate without cost. This is made possible through community support, donations, partnerships and grant funding.
As a not-for-profit organisation, we are committed to reducing barriers to early parenting support and strengthening access for families during the first year of life.
Because our facilitated groups are intentionally small and carefully held, places are limited. Registering interest helps us understand community need, offer available places thoughtfully, and keep families informed about upcoming programs and community connection opportunities.
Whether you are looking for gentle guidance, a calm space to be with your baby, or connection with other mothers in your local area, Nurturing Beginnings Montessori is here to support the beginning.
